Taylor
G. Ian TAYLOR

In 1973, Daniel and Taylor reported the first free flap, the transplant of an autologous skin flap to the lower extremity using the operating microscope. He is the father of modern microsurgery and tissue transplantation. His contributions to flap circulation and physiology have been crucial in our speciality.

Allen
Bob ALLEN

Robert J. Allen, M.D., is the pioneer of the DIEP/SIEA/S-GAP/I-GAP perforator flaps and a founder of The Center for Microsurgical Breast Reconstruction and the Group for the Advancement of Breast Reconstruction. As a plastic surgeon, he has an interest in autogenous breast reconstruction and microsurgery.

Claudio ANGRIGIANI

He is retired Chief Division of Plastic Surgery of the Hospital D.F. Santojanni, Buenos Aires. Het is President of the Fundación Marko, Buenos Aires. He obtained the National Academy of Medicine Award Buenos Aires, Argentina. He is a member of the American Association of Plastic Surgeons and of the American Society of Plastic Surgery.

Mark ASHTON

Professor Ashton is Clinical Professor of Surgery at the University of Melbourne and specialises in Cosmetic and Reconstructive Breast Surgery and Facial Aesthetic Surgery. He is former Head of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Royal Melbourne Hospital.

Ayhan
Sühan AYHAN

Prof. Dr. Ayhan is working in the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Department of Gazi University Faculty of Medicine (Ankara, Turkey) and he was also working as a private doctor since 2010. His main fields of clinical interest include reconstructive and aesthetic breast surgery, rhinoplasty, aesthetic surgery and post-oncologic and post-traumatic reconstruction.

Sydney CH'NG

Dr. Sydney Ch’ng is Associate Professor of Surgery at the University of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. She is jointly appointed to the Departments of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Head and Neck Surgery and Melanoma at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. She sub-specialises in the management of advanced facial and scalp skin cancers, including microsurgical reconstruction.

Ivan DUCIC

Prof. Dr. Ducic is Director of the Washington Nerve Institute in McLean, Virginia and Clinical Professor of Surgery at the George Washington University. He is the Past-President of the American Society for Peripheral Nerve, with the expertise in Nerve Surgery, applying the most advanced treatments to address nerve injuries. Having published over 90 peer-reviewed papers, Prof. Dr. Ducic often lectures as a Visiting Professor on many national and international events.

Professor Jian Farhadi is a  Consultant Plastic Surgeon and the Director Department of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at Guy's and St. Thomas' Hospital in London. He is a specialist in reconstructive and aesthetic breast surgery and as well surgery after weight loss.

Geoffrey HALLOCK

Dr. Geoffrey Hallock is a plastic surgeon in Allentown, Pennsylvania. He received his medical degree from Sidney Kimmel Medical College and has been in practice for more than 20 years. He is co-author of the book Perforator Flaps: Anatomy, Technique, & Clinical Applications, Second Edition.

Moustapha HAMDI

Moustapha Hamdi graduated in 1990 at the University of Damascus, Syria as a doctor of medicine, surgery and obstetrics. Between 1999 and 2011, Professor Hamdi was one of the staff members of the Plastic Surgery Department in the Gent University Hospital, where he also presented his doctoral thesis: "Pedicled Flaps in Breast Surgery: a New Concept". Since April 2011, Moustapha Hamdi is Chief of the Plastic Surgery Department of the Brussels University Hospital.

Dr. Yue He is a Professor of the Oral and Maxillofacial-Head and Neck Oncology Surgery Department in the Shanghai Ninth People’s Hospital and doctoral supervisor of the Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He is also executive committee of the Asian Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and general secretary of the Chinese Society of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. He has been in practice for more than 20 years in OMS-Head and Neck Oncology & Reconstruction, especially in microsurgery and perforator flap reconstruction.

Joon Pio HONG

Prof. Dr. J.P. Hong is affiliated to the University of Ulsan College of Medicine, Seoul, Republic of Korea. His main interest is lower limb reconstruction, but has a vast experience in other perforator flaps.

Koshima
Isao KOSHIMA

Professor and Chief of the Departent of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery at the University of Tokyo Hospital. His interests are supermicrosurgery, vascularized nerve graft, nerve regeneration, Pacinian corpuscle, vascularized muscle flap, muscle regeneration, lymphatic regeneration and microneurovascular anatomy. He is the current President of WSRM.

Benoit_Lengele
Benoit LENGELÉ

Benoit Lengelé is full professor of Human Anatomy & Surgery at the Catholic University of Louvain. He is currently chief of the Departement of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at the UCL-St. Luc Academic Hospital, Brussels. He trained in head and neck microsurgery under the mastership of Bernard Devauchelle, he pioneered with him the first face transplantion in 2005. Then, as an alternative option to VCA procedures, he opened in his most recent research works, the new field of Vascularized Composite tissue Engineering (VCE).

Jaume MASIA

Professor Jaume Masia is currently Full Professor and Director of the Department of Plastic Surgery at Sant Pau Hospital - Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona. In 1999, he introduced DIEP flaps for breast reconstruction in Spain. His current main interests are perforator flaps, lymphedema surgery and medical education. He is Program Director of the European Reconstructive Microsurgey School.

Morris
Steve MORRIS

Dr. Morris is a Professor of Surgery and Professor of Anatomy at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. He specializes in Microsurgery and Hand & Breast Surgery. Dr. Morris has had a longstanding interest in vascular anatomy and flap physiology and maintains a lab investigating a variety of tissue transfers. He is co-author of the book Perforator Flaps: Anatomy, Technique & Clinical Applications, Second Edition.

Neligan
Peter NELIGAN

Dr. Neligan is a plastic surgeon, specializing in reconstructive microvascular surgery. He is a Professor of Surgery at UW and Director of the Center for Reconstructive Surgery at UWMC. His areas of special interest are flap surgery, lymphatic surgery, facial re-animation and facial transplantation. He is co-author of the book Perforator Flaps: Anatomy, Technique & Clinical Applications, Second Edition.

Ramakrishnan
Venkat RAMAKRISHNAN

Mr Venkat Ramakrishnan is a Consultant Plastic Surgeon at the St Andrew’s Centre for Plastic Surgery and Burns, Chelmsford, United Kingdom. His main area work involves microsurgical reconstruction of the breast and aesthetic surgery of the breast. His secondary interests are microsurgical reconstruction of the chest wall, abdomen and lower limb.

Eric SANTAMARIA

Eric Santamaria is Professor of Reconstructive Microsurgery of the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico and Associate Professor of the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Hospital General Dr. Manuel Gea Gonzalez and the Instituto Nacional de Cancerologia in Mexico City. As an accomplished clinician his expertise focuses on surgery of the breast, head and neck and extremity reconstruction.

Dr. Xin Wang is a plastic and hand surgeon, specializing in reconstructive microvascular surgery. He is Associate Professor of Surgery at the University of NingBo, China, and the Director of the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery & Hand Surgery at NingBo Sixth Hospital. His special interests include perforator flaps, microvascular reconstruction, congenital hand, bone and joint reconstruction of the wrist and elbow, cosmetic surgery, expertise in reconstruction of post-burn sequel and scar treatments of the upper and lower extremities. He is committed to providing excellent treatment and care to his patients, both in plastic & hand surgery and in reconstructive microsurgery.
